Exercise: Mom's Great Get-Away!
Give yourself a treat you deserve! pick up the kids, pick up the dry cleaning, the groceries...pick yourself up with a workout!
If you're a mom, you're probably a very person with little time to spare. In a recent study by Ohio State University, researchers examined the stress levels of first time parents and how parenthood affected their leisure time. And guess what they found? not only did they see a drop in both parents' leisure time, the research showed that mom's leisure time decreased the most.
But being a mom does not mean you have to sacrifice you healthy lifestyle for your family's sake. You can make the most of your precious free time by getting involved in a workout program. Leisure time is valuable and participating in a program of physical activity makes your free time work double-time.
Do it for you when you exercise you can escape for a little while and improve your health at the same time. With the increased stress that comes with parenthood, it is important that you keep yourself physically and mentally in shape. Working out is a great stress reliever. Studies show that exercise can have anxiety-relieving, tranquilizing effects on many people.
Make it fun Make sure you enjoy your free time; take the "work" out of your "workout" by choosing an activity that is both fun and good for you. BodyPump, Step Aerobics, or Weight Training are all ways you can improve your health and "get away" at the same time. Being a mom means giving a lot to your family. Give something back to yourself by taking the time out of your busy day to exercise.
