GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS FALL 2006

CLASS NAME

CLASS DESCRIPTION

STEP 1

For the beginner stepper, new exerciser or rehab client.  This class will start you off with basic stepping components followed by muscular conditioning and a stretch.

STEP 2

As an intermediate stepper, this class will take you to the next level of step choreography.  Somewhat challenging, yet doable - -  this class is just for you.

STEP 3

Love choreographed step classes? This advanced step workout will get you into the groove with moves that take you both on and off the step.  Step it up a notch with Step 3!

STEP & STRENGTH

The perfect combination of athletic step and muscle conditioning.  Alternate between 5-7 minutes of stepping followed by 3 minutes of combination muscle work.  Complete the workout with abdominal exercises and a stretch. 

Group Power™

A motivating weight training class that is designed to tone and sculpt your body. Group Power™ can help you achieve Real Results, Real Fast.

Group Step™

Using the step with 4, 2, & no risers, this multi-combination step class is taught with inspiring music & great choreography.  Finish with abs & stretch.

Group Centergy™

 

Get into your flow with Group Centergy™.  Combining Yoga, Pilates & Tai Chi - this class is sure to inspire!  Soothing tunes and a meditation finish complete the experience and will bring you back for more.

CARDIO BALL

A workout designed around the stability ball.  Following a cardio floor component, the stability ball is used to help improve your core strength, enhance posture and develop better over all body control, power and strength.

CARDIO COMBO

The ultimate cardio conditioning combination class!  20 minutes of step work is followed by 10 minutes of high/low power moves on the floor.  Complete the workout with muscle conditioning and core stability focus.

CARDIO CIRCUIT

Mix up your workout with a cardio circuit class.   Each 30 – 60 second station is taught using a variety of equipment that focuses on cardiovascular training, muscle conditioning and abdominal work.  

CARDIO FIT

Cardio Fit 1 and 2 are low impact aerobic cardio classes geared toward the beginner/intermediate participant.  A perfect starting point for any non-step exerciser.

STEP AND SCULPT

The perfect combination of athletic step and muscle conditioning.  Alternate between 5-7 minutes of stepping followed by 3 minutes of combination muscle work.  Complete the workout with abdominal exercises and a stretch.

TKO

Time to punch up your workout? This adrenaline inducing workout using a combination of boxing, martial arts and hi/lo choreography will do just that!  Advance through Levels 1 to 3. 

ABS, BUTT & THIGHS

Designed specifically to firm and define the abs, butt and thighs through a variety of resistance training.  

SPINNING

A challenging, dynamic, and fun class that incorporates various drills on a stationary bike.  Taught to great music, indoor cycling is an excellent physical workout.

YOGA

An invigorating mind/body class, Yoga helps develop your flexibility and improve your strength.  Stand taller, improve your breathing and soothe your body, mind and spirit.

PILATES

Pilates training programs combine a unique system of stretching & strengthening to improve posture, core stability & balance. Unite your body & mind while creating a streamlined shape.

PILATES ON THE BALL

A unique blend of Pilates and the stability ball incorporating stretching and strengthening to improve posture, provide flexibility, balance and unite body and mind, to create a streamlined shape.

YOLATES

The perfect combination of Yoga and Pilates.  Strengthen, stretch  breathe and exhale the Yolates way.

HIP HOP

Get down with Hip Hop.  Groove, shake it up and join us for some funky fun!  Level 1 for beginners and Level 2 for intermediates.

BELLY DANCE

Love your stomach!  Whittle your waist while learning to belly dance.  A great way to exercise!

DANCE FIT

Do you love to move?  Get fit while dancing to fabulous music!

 

SPINNING BALL

 A challenging, dynamic, and fun class that incorporates various drills on a stationary bike combined with stability ball to improve core strength and posture.
