Arthritis Exercise:
Should people with Arthritis exercise? Yes! Studies have shown that exercise helps people with Arthritis in many ways. Exercise reduces joint pain and stiffness, increases flexibility, muscular strength and endurance. It also helps with weight loss and contributes to a positive sense of well being.

The three types of exercise that are best for people with arthritis are Range of Motion Exercise (flexibility training) Strength Training and Aerobic Endurance exercises. Remember to always do some light warm up movements before starting to exercise. Start strengthening exercises with light weights (1-2 pounds) and progress slowly. Add aerobic exercise to your program and always cease off if joints become too painful. Choose the exercise program you most enjoy and make it a habit.

Back Problems Exercise:
Low back pain may be prevalent for a variety of reasons but it is often a result of strength and flexibility imbalances between the muscles of the lower back, mid back and abdominals. Exercise can help decrease back pain by promoting weight loss, increasing strength in weaker muscles and increasing flexibility in muscles that may have a poor range of motion.
